This is the picture of me and my friend in the fitness center. This picture inspires me because it affects me directly. I think that it represents the culture of the modern Thai society especially to Bangkok city people and me since I am now a member of two fitness places throughout the last two years. Nowadays, the fitness centre and sport clubs business have grown very fast evidently during these last two to three years as you can see that these big and small fitness centers are around every corners of the city! Surprisingly the businesses are still expanding. Thus, these places grew at an exponential rate because of the change of ideology for Thai city people. Many city people now become aware of their health and want to be slim and have a good appearance. I think that a lot of people including me believe that to fulfill our lives, work is not the only task we should do but going to the gym as well. However, with the limitation of the competitive lifestyle and other factors like the availability of time, fitness centre stand as the best option which matches both our wants to reward our body and self and to suits the lifestyle of Thai people.
