This is a picture of the Thai rice section at Paragon Gourmet Market. I chose this picture because it truly depicts Thai culture which reflected Thai culture from the old days until the present day. This array display of various kinds of Thai rice (especially jasmine rice) not only represent how Thai becomes the main exporter of rice but more importantly when I saw the gigantic amount of rice it symbolizes that wherever you are, which ever region you live in, or even which class you belong, rice is surely an important part of Thai lifestyles. We consume rice everyday in every meal and it has become mundane that sometimes you even forget the importance of it. Thus, when looking at this picture seeing the large pile of rice, it makes me flashback to think about how much every Thais including me have consume rice for my entire life and creates a feeling that we should finish our rice for every meals and give more values to this important part of our Thai life.
