Its time for food (once again)!!!

To increase your appetite once again, this week I will be presenting one of Thailand’s well known cuisine which is our famous northeastern food or as the locals would called Isan food. This picture includes our most popular somtum (spicy papaya salad), larb moo (minced pork salad with crispy rice and chili), tom zaap (spicy soup) and kao niew (sticky rice). The reason I chose this picture is because I think Isan food has become part of everyone’s life in Thailand. For me it is a big part of my life since I consume somtum at least 4 times a week because I find it very delicious and since most of the foods are not fried it’s healthy as well. In addition, with its real spiciness and the unique authentic smell of Thai herbs, it had made itself to become popular among all target groups whether you are rich or poor. This makes Isan food to become available everywhere in every part of Thailand. Not only that it turn out to be very well-liked by Thai locals, Isan food also act a representative of Thailand. I can ensure that if you ask 10 tourists who had visited Thailand, at least half of them would talk about Isan food especially somtum and sticky rice. So if any of you doesn’t have a chance to taste Isan food, let’s enjoy my all time favorite dishes together shall we? J
