A new unhappy chapter of Bangkok...

Have you ever imagine that Bangkok will be turned into a city underwater? I guess most of us had never thought this situation would happen to our beloved city, but now the flooding situation had tremendously change Bangkok from head to toe. During my 19 years living in this city, this is the first time I have seen many phenomenas that I never expected to see like big moo-baans under water, people wearing plastic boots, people rowing boats, mass crowd of people evacuating to other big cities, and people constructing sandbag and barriers in front of the house. Not only do these things happen at this moment, but what I’m surprise the most is the food aspects. I always thought that Bangkok was a city with plenty of foods. There are seven elevens in every corner of the streets, markets in every neighborhoods, and supermarkets everywhere. Now, those plethoras of foods are not enough to feed the millions mouth of Bangkokians. Looking at this picture, Bangkokians are crazily stocking food in every place possible. Thus, even though many of us including my family are stocking these products but it’s still not enough. So this image makes me feel depress and sorrowful to our country and people who live in Bangkok. It shows that our country is not the same as before and we are facing into crisis in need of food and clean water from this severe flooding situation. Looking at the news, this food crisis would not end soon but now the best thing we all can do is fight together and change ourselves, protecting the environment, so that this crisis would not happen to us again in the future.
